The final step of the fire alarm and detection system installation is the commissioning.
The commissioning engineer is one of the most important people involved in the overall installation of the fire alarm system, this is because they are the person who checks the whole system, to confirm it is fit for purpose and that it works as the specification intended.

First, we check it is fitted as per the design specifications and the as fitted drawings and that the system complies with BS5839 and BS7671, once we are satisfied the system is installed as it should be, we will then test every device, detector, and sounder on the system including checking the system performs as it should in various fault scenarios, as per the standards set out in BS5839
If the Engineer is not satisfied with the system he will compile a list of works to be done before re-testing and will not pass it or certificate it until complete.
Once everything is satisfactory, we will supply a completed RayFire Services certificate and hand over the System following some user training.
